May Day bank holiday weekend will see us putting on our first ever Magic Teapot event. What could be more fun than a camping weekend around three different Magic Teapot structures, on a campsite in the beautiful Somerset countryside. The exact location will be revealed early-April to those who have purchased entry to the campsite for the weekend, so please make sure you add your email address when making your purchase. For now, we can tell you that it's near Bruton in Somerset.

 What are the glamping options?
The campsite has a selection of tipis, safari bell tents and the like, with the option to book one furnished or unfurnished. They are very limited in number so you will need to get in there quite quickly to book one. Please note that you still need to buy an entry ticket per person to come for the weekend, and that the glamping option is an additional item, the cost of which can be split between the occupants.

 Can I bring booze?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own booze, but we encourage you to also use our bar, stocked with delicious local ales and ciders, as well as cocktails and spirits, to help ensure that the event is a success!

 Are there showers?
Yes, the event takes place at a fully equipped camp/glampsite.

 What are the toilets like?
Flush toilets in cubicles, a step up from your regular festival toilet!

Will you cater for vegans and vegetarians?
Yes! The campsite has its own cafe, with a variety of offerings to suit all tastes and dietary needs. You are also welcome to bring your own food to cook.

Is this a good event for families?
Yes! The event is small and, if you've met the Magic Teapot crew before, you will know how friendly we all are!

 Can I bring my dog?
A festival environment isn't always the best for lots of dogs, but if your dog is good around people, then you are welcome to bring it. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times, and it goes without saying that you must clean up after your dog.

Is this a rave? Can I bring my sound system?
No! The Magic Teapot is acoustic-only, and this is an acoustic music event. Let's listen to the natural beauty of instruments and voices. If you have to listen to jungle, we suggest you bring your headphones!

Why are there no headliners or acts announced?
This is effectively a camping weekend with Magic Teapot fun thrown in. Anyone who has visited the Magic Teapot knows that the music ebbs and flows throughout the day and night. We will have a stage, however, and many of our talented crew will be performing on that stage.

Can I bring my own instrument and play? What about percussion?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own instruments and join in. Sorry, but this does not include percussion. We've learnt our lesson the hard way and come to the conclusion that the best way to deal with the percussion issue is to not have any. This means there are no drums lying around for people to pick up and bash, out of time, loudly, drowning everyone else out. There is a time and place for percussion, The Magic Teapot is not it!

What time will you burn the Wicker Man?
The Wicker Man will burn at 9pm on Saturday evening.

How can I get a Magic Teapot Gathering 2022 tea-shirt?
To be sure of getting hold of a tea-shirt in your chosen style, colour and size, you can pre-order it when you buy your tickets. We will have your tea-shirt printed and ready for you to collect at the event. There will be a limited number of tea-shirts available to buy at the event, at a higher price.

 Where can I get tickets?
Please visit to purchase your tickets and tea-shirts. Everyone must buy an entry ticket. Campervan and glamping add-ons are extra. Tea-shirts are optional but recommended :)

We may add some more FAQs here as queries arise, but in the meantime, if you have any questions, please email us at magicteapotvenue @ Thank you xx
