Joseph Peace is founder and builder of our lovely venue. He builds all kinds of big art for festivals around the world and his creations are always beautiful and unique.
Joseph is a lifelong festival character. Allegedly conceived at a festival in the original summer of love and taken to various festivals as a child including Polgooth Fayre, Elephant Fayre, various free festivals and a little thing near Glastonbury! As an adult Joseph was a festival punter through the 80’s and 90’s but then the festival bug really got under his skin. He has performed his fire stunt show at many festivals and is on the build crew at several festivals each year, notably Boomtown and Shangri La at Glastonbury. Joseph also has a lifelong passion for fire and loves to play the perfect host.
When Lucy Menter is moonlighting from her proper job, she can be found tinkling the piano keys in The Magic Teapot. Anything goes with Lucy, from Bowie to Britney Spears. Between gigs, she can be found at a different keyboard, bashing out Facebook posts for The Magic Teapot page and trying to keep this website up to date. She also has a thing for mushrooms. Check out her amazing Instagram account, The Magic of Mushrooms ! Lucy is an identical twin, and at some point we’re hoping to get her twin onto the crew as well (just to confuse everybody!)
Luke Slater is passionate about The Magic Teapot. His enthusiasm is infectious! He loves to get everyone involved. Affectionately known in the teapot as the “Duracell Bunny”, he just keeps on going all day and all of the night. His guitar, piano and vocal repertoire is impressive, and if he doesn’t already know it, he soon will.
Claire Richards’ favourite place in the whole world is the campfire! She loves to keep the Teapot going all night; warming your heart and soul with tea, tunes and banter. When she’s not singing and playing her guitar Claire works as a healer. You can check out her healing work here www.findinghealing.co.uk
Kara J Richards is primarily a facilitator and a writer and singer of contemporary folk songs. She is passionate about the oral tradition and the importance of live collaborative acoustic music around the fire. Along with guitar Kara also plays fiddle and loves to add the other voice into those backing vocals. When not at The Magic Teapot Kara can be found making tea and soup in Ireland, Thailand France and Spain. See more on Kara’s website .
Slightly Offensive Steve – Some say he sold his soul to the devil for the secret swear word… He also got the bonus of knowing a whole heap of great songs, some we all know and love to sing along to, and some of his own ‘slightly offensive’ material. With a wealth of experience hosting open mic and singalong sessions in his hometown of Norwich, Steve gets the whole place joining in.
Feel free to ask him about the devil when you see him at The Magic Teapot…
